We are all too aware of the shortcomings and failures of the United States of America. But, I ask all of you to join me to celebrate our accomplishments. For, in spite of her shortcomings, she is a torch and a lamplight of hope and democracy.
There is no perfect system on earth. The only perfection is in heaven. We are here to bring heaven into earth.
This is a vision. The United States of America was founded on this vision. Our forefathers and the men who fought beside them, including my great-great-great… grandfather, did so that you and I, 235 years later, could be free to write what we want on the Internet, worship God as we want and to speak out and say what is in our heart and on our mind.
America has inspired more nations and more people to embrace democracy. Be proud of what she has accomplished and know that your actions, your thoughts and your light is a flame in this great torch called democracy. Do not underestimate what you have to give and what you have to offer as a member of our United States.
The ground we stand on was prayed over, hallowed, worshiped, and tended with love by 10,000 years of native people. You stand on holy ground. Honor this ground. Honor the soil. Honor the Presence that this piece of land holds. She is a living, breathing, conscious Presence. She holds you in her arms. She cradles you between the great waters of the Pacific and the Atlantic.
Remember who you are as an American. And, together we will not only hold the vision of our founding fathers, but we will be the creators in action to bring this vision forth so that 235 years from now our children’s children’s children will be thanking us for our choices and not cursing us for our lack of wisdom and care.
God bless you. God bless America. Let us all pray together and allow our voice to be heard throughout the world.
Beloved Creator, All That Is, Dear God,
Please hear our prayer as we pray for the United States of America.
God Bless America!
Bless this country. Bless this land.
Help all of her citizens, and all those who live on her soil, to walk in the highest and to know that they are here for service.
We pray for all people, those of means and those who have nothing, those with great homes and those who have no home.
We pray for those who are lost and weak.
We pray for those who feel that they are strangers in our land, and we welcome those, to know that they are loved.
We pray for those who have lived here for many years and for those who call this land their new home.
God Bless America!
We pray for her waters. We pray for her mountains. We pray for her trees and her flowers. We pray for all the animals that they have a home.
We pray that there is work and sustenance, that this country can take care of her inhabitants, that all people can work an honest job and receive an honest wage.
We pray for those in public service who we have elected to lead us.
We pray for those who uphold the truth and we pray for those who have transgressed.
We pray for the government, and that the government of America have courage and strength to meet the challenges of our time.
We pray for our President that he is strong, safe, healthy and protected. We pray for his family and we pray that he hears the wise council of the divine Presence, which is the United States of America, as he leads us.
We pray for those who are suffering; we pray for those who are the caretakers.
We pray for all churches, all synagogues, all mosques, all places of worship.
We pray for all people living here under one tent, united all people of all nations, all colors, all races, all religions, all languages.
We pray that all inhabitants of this great country honor and respect one another, that we all share one very important thing in common. And, that is we are here together as a family of human beings in the United States of America.
We pray that we can all look into the eyes of each other and know that in this common place, in our own small way, either great or tiny, we are here to hold the torchlight of a vision for humanity. And, that is freedom and justice for all mankind.
Thank you, Beloved Presence,
We know that together our voice is a mighty one and that You will hear our prayers and send forth the shining rays of Your benevolence and Your Grace upon our country – the United States of America.
God Bless America; We love you!
